Calling all film lovers! For the first time, Manhattan Short Film Festival is coming to Hoddesdon, giving local audiences the chance to take part in a global celebration of some of the best new short films from around the world.
Now in its 29th year, Manhattan Short takes place at more than 500 venues worldwide. This year, Hoddesdon joins the festival as one of its UK screening locations.
During the evening, you'll watch 10 finalist short films from filmmakers around the world, all of which are eligible to be entered into next year's Oscars.
But this isn't just a screening – you get to be one of the judges.
Everyone attending will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite film and favourite actor, with votes from the Hoddesdon audience joining those cast by film lovers at Manhattan Short screenings around the world to determine the overall winners.
It's a fantastic opportunity to discover some of the world's best up-and-coming filmmaking talent without having to leave Hoddesdon.
The evening will include a red carpet entrance, with the bar open and intervals taking place throughout the screening.
The Hoddesdon screening is organised by Love Hoddesdon BID, with the support of Hertfordshire Studios and the Hertfordshire Film Office.
